The Sun's RaysThe sun rose high from its coverings
near the world's end
It stretched its rays like open arms
and looked upon his friends

With open eyes I see the day
my heart cracks heavy sighs
The days are long, dull and gray
it's the sun that I despise

The sun has dealt a heavy yoke
being too much for me
The load has crushed away my joy
pitiful groans are all I see

Oh sun, oh sun, please do not shine
in evenings I find my rest
Flee away and cease to rise
at night I am at best

The sun just set its shine on me
Don't you know, little one?
It is not I who took your smile
it's in your heart that death began

You chose not to smell the flowe
Puppy PerspectiveI sit alone at the wrought-iron gates
waiting, day by day
You always run off on many adventures
and always return with prey

The prey looks odd, like little balls
but from me they cannot hide

to hunt them by your side

You touch my head with your open paw
squealling with your voice
I assume that means you're happy with me
my tail move as I rejoice

You call me to come and rest with you
as you protect my frame, so warm
I sit content with my strong leader
in your pack, away from harm

To inhale His passion with your very breath
in His arms beyond all days

many following the siren's call
Where children yearn in the streets for love
chasing tears as they brace to fall
