my deafened love
the roaring of the rain?
Can you feel
with skin so numb
my hand touching yours in vain?
Can you speak
with those voiceless lips
words of love I used to hear?
Why did you think
dear thoughtless one
that you could die and leave me here?
We couldn't reach
with our desperate arms
all the dreams we had designed.
But you didn't know
and nor did I
that what we lacked was time.

For those who are wondering: No, I am not depressed. I just decided to do a sad poem again. I haven't written one in years. If it isn't apparent; the poem is about someone's who lost a lover. It's a pretty sad scene in my head - I hope I did it justice with the words I chose.
